Yesterday marked a historic moment for Albanian motorsport, as Gentjan Shaqiri, the newly crowned Formula 3 Hill Climb champion, brought the European Central Championship Cup to Albania. After an extraordinary season, he managed to break the ten-year dominance of Laszlo Szasz, ranking alongside legends such as Christian Merli.
Shaqiri’s triumph is not just a sporting success, but an example of dedication and discipline. He achieved this success thanks to the Renault Tatuus 2000, a racing car built for extreme speed and precision. With a 2.0L engine that produces over 200 horsepower and reaches 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, this car symbolizes the ambition and dedication of a true champion.
At the ceremony organized at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tirana, Shaqiri shared his experience with students, highlighting the importance of strategy and control not only on the track, but also in finance. This event also marked the beginning of a new collaboration between Shaqiri, the Faculty, and the iutech program from iute, to bring open lectures on fintech and financial management.
“Financial education is a race in itself – it helps you make the right decisions and achieve long-term success, whether on the track or in life,” Shaqiri told the students.
