Strong women choose digital finance to build their financial independence

News

At every step of their lives, women and girls demonstrate the ability, strength and determination to make important decisions for themselves and their families. Often, these everyday life decisions are related to personal finances and women’s access to money. Their role as decision-makers has become increasingly visible in the way they manage their personal finances and plan for their family’s economic future. Through financial education and the use of modern financial solutions, more and more women are building a stronger relationship with their finances and taking steps towards financial independence.

This trend is clearly reflected in our data. Today, more than 73,000 women are active customers, part of our financial ecosystem, using services to better manage their daily finances. A large number of them have also embraced technology, with more than 42,000 women using the Myiute app, choosing quick and easy ways to control and manage their finances from their phone.

This informed approach to finance is also reflected in the way women use financial services in their daily lives. Currently, more than 26,000 female clients have an active loan, of which 15,830 have chosen installment financing, taking advantage of the flexibility these solutions offer to make their purchases. At the same time, more and more women are choosing digital transactions: 527 female clients make money transfers through the Myiute application, while 11,826 women have made their “Buy Now, Pay Later” purchases online on e-commerce platforms, showing that digital finances have become part of their daily lives.

A significant indicator of this approach is also discipline in managing financial obligations. Based on portfolio data, female clients at iute show about 4% higher discipline in paying installments compared to men. This result reflects a high level of responsibility, as well as a growing financial culture and education among women, who are increasingly building sustainable and conscious relationships with their finances.
