Transformation into a digital bank: iute Group’s results for 2025

Insights

Iute Group, a digital banking group operating in Southeast Europe, generated total revenue of EUR 124.6 million in 2025, while net profit increased to EUR 9.9 million. The Group’s consolidated balance sheet reached EUR 511 million, exceeding its annual target.

According to CEO Tarmo Sild, the company is steadily progressing towards becoming a digital bank built around a financial superapp that integrates financing, payments, and insurance solutions into one ecosystem. “We are building the new value proposition while continuing to upgrade services that have been operating for 18 years. Customers increasingly perceive Iute as a fully digital and customer-centric superapp – a platform where they can obtain financing, but also save, insure, invest, shop, pay, exchange, and transfer funds. Personalised offers powered by data science are becoming a defining feature of our value proposition,” said Sild.

Chief Commercial Officer Allar Niinepuu noted that during the past year, Iute expanded its superapp ecosystem by adding several payment and insurance solutions, broadening Loan Protection Insurance coverage, and launching fully digital Motor Third Party Liability insurance in Albania. “Additionally, we prepared the first subscription-based product combining Travel & Life insurance with Roadside Assistance coverage,” said Niinepuu.

The active customer base increased to 273,607. “By the year-end, 53% of customers were active app users. We aim for at least 70% of active customers to use the Myiute superapp by the end of 2026 and to transition towards a smartphone-based service model by 2028,” explained Sild.

In 2025, Iute achieved growth both in scale and operational quality. According to Sild, the Group maintained a deliberate balance between current profitability and investments required to build long-term digital banking capabilities. “We invested in future technologies and new markets. Expansion into Ukraine marked an important milestone. Ukraine represents a future European growth engine, and we are preparing to build a fully digital bank there based on our technological expertise and operational experience,” he said. Expansion-related investments are funded from existing business operations.

Technology and data science continue to strengthen the Group’s profitability and efficiency. Predictive modelling increased the share of automated loan decisions, supported personalised product offerings, and improved customer management. During the year, the Group invested more than EUR 10 million in technology development and geographic expansion.

Of total revenue, 86% was generated from consumer financing, 4% from payment services, and 5% from insurance intermediation. All business segments showed growth, while the share of non-lending services continued to increase gradually, supporting revenue diversification and recurring cashflow stability.

In 2026, Iute Group expects continued growth and forecasts revenue of EUR 150 million and net profit of EUR 12 million.

Iute Group is a digital banking group focused on everyday financial services in Southeast Europe. Established in 2008 and headquartered in Estonia, Iute serves customers in Albania, Bulgaria, Moldova, North Macedonia, and Ukraine. Through the Myiute app and its local operations, Iute provides digital financial services including payments, banking, financing, and insurance intermediation. Iute Group finances its operations through equity, deposits, and secured bonds listed on the Regulated Market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Baltic Main List.
