Tarmo Sild leads fundraising efforts for critical equipment for Ukrainian soldiers.
In the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, solidarity, and support from around the world are crucial. Tarmo Sild, CEO of the iute Group, has taken a proactive stance in helping the defense of Ukraine. Under his leadership, iute has launched an in-house fundraising campaign to provide direct support to frontline units in Ukraine.
Sild emphasized the importance of supporting the Ukrainian military, saying, “If you want Ukraine to win the war, you have to support the military that is fighting.” Recognizing that victory for Ukraine means victory for all free Europe, Sild and his team in jute rallied together, raising an impressive €23,737 to buy much-needed night-surveillance drones for soldiers Ukrainian.
The initiative brought together 29 team members who participated in the campaign, demonstrating a collective commitment to stand in solidarity with Ukraine. The funds raised were used to purchase four-night surveillance drones, which were delivered along with 16 4×4 vehicles loaded with essential equipment, directly to Kyiv.
After the surrender, the Ukrainian soldiers, who had just returned from the front line, expressed their gratitude to the jute team. Sild shared the heartwarming experience, highlighting the profound impact of human connection and empathy in times of crisis. He emphasized the importance of direct support for those fighting on the front line, asserting that the soldiers in Ukraine are “really ourselves.”
The donation of night surveillance drones is of great strategic importance, enabling Ukrainian forces to effectively navigate and monitor the battlefield, especially during nighttime engagements. Leila, a drone operator, emphasized the critical role of technology in countering Russian aggression, stating, “Ukraine will win with its mentality and smart use of technology.”
Beyond the immediate impact of the fundraising campaign, Sild affirmed iute’s continued commitment to support Ukraine until victory is achieved. He underlined the collaborative nature of the effort, acknowledging the role of volunteers from various countries in strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
Ragnar Sass and Peeter Rikken, who lead the volunteer brigade, have led numerous initiatives, providing essential resources in Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict. Sild praised their professionalism and dedication, highlighting the agility and efficiency of volunteer-led initiatives in addressing urgent needs on the ground.
As the conflict continues, the iute remains unwavering in its support for Ukraine, with Sild asserting, “We are the rear and we must support the front until victory.” The company anticipates further joint fundraising campaigns and initiatives to strengthen Ukraine’s defense efforts in the face of Russian aggression.
