On Sunday, March 24, the “Kamza Marathon” event took place and it was a real success. In a special location near the lake of Paskuqani, the city of Kamza and its inhabitants experienced for the first time the emotions that the marathon conveys as a comprehensive sports event.
Hundreds of professional and amateur athletes competed in the 3.8km and 10km race categories, to reach a place on the podium, which saw several athletes from Albania, Kosovo and other Balkan countries as winners. Also, many young men and women and children from the city of Kamza and beyond, became part of this competition that produced several winners in several different categories. In the presence of the Mayor of the city of Kamëz, Mr. Rakip Suli and the President of the Albanian Olympic Committee, Mr. Fidel Ylli, the winners’ medals were distributed to 9-year-old school children, children who will be the future athletes of Albania.
When we talk about sport and the marathon, we always mention values such as speed, consistency, passion or dedication, values that we also find in the identity of the iute brand. Iute Albania believes in a healthy lifestyle, in physical and mental well-being and in the benefits that sport brings, and seeks to convey these values to the staff, customers and the general public. For this reason, iute is and will always be in support of sports events, be it marathons, athletics championships, or anything else.
On a beautiful sunny day, full of challenges, emotions, music and good friends, dozens of people took as a memory a photo with our champion, the ambassador of the iute Albania brand, Luiza Gega, who has a few words about the event in question : “I am very happy to be in the marathon of the city of Kamza, which is taking place for the first time, and I am glad that there are so many people who have expressed their interest. I hope that next year there will be even more people and this marathon will take place again and become a tradition. Kamza’s marathon was really fantastic and I want to thank iute very much for the support you gave to this marathon.”
