Youth Are the Future: iute brought together Global Money Week and the Work & Study Fair

News

On March 18th and 19th, we had the pleasure of being part of the “Work & Study” fair, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tirana and the National Employment and Skills Agency. At this event, we had the opportunity to meet hundreds of ambitious young people who are looking to build their professional journey.

In the opening remarks of the event, delivered by the Minister of Economy and Innovation, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tirana, and the Director of the National Employment and Skills Agency, the focus was placed on empowering Albanian youth and the wide range of opportunities available to them in a dynamic job market—one that moves at the pace of technology and increasingly demands digital skills, much like the iute ecosystem.

We were pleased to welcome our Brand Ambassador Gentjan Shaqiri from the Faculty of Economics, University of Tirana, who visited our booth together with a group of students from the Business Informatics program. Together with Majlinda, he introduced the students to iute Group and what iute represents in the job market, encouraging them to apply for open positions and take their first step toward a career in #fintech.

This event took place at a particularly meaningful time, within the framework of Global Money Week—a global initiative aimed at raising awareness about the importance of financial education, especially among youth. This year’s theme, “Smart Money Talk,” emphasized the importance of informed decision-making and open conversations about personal finance—values that strongly align with our mission as part of a fintech ecosystem. As part of Global Money Week, Professor Shaqiri delivered a short, engaging lecture, directly connecting the “Smart Money Talk” theme with today’s financial reality.

During this interactive session, students gained valuable insights into the concept of fintech, its role in transforming financial services, and the importance of embracing new technologies in managing personal finances. The discussion also explored digital money and how it is reshaping financial behaviour—making it faster, more accessible, and more transparent.
