Great talents often start their journey from small steps, but with great passion. One such story is that of Loris Qose, the 15-year-old from Cërrik, who is standing out with extraordinary results in mathematics and is worthily representing Albanian talent in the international arena.
Recently, Loris achieved an important success by winning the gold medal in a mathematical Olympiad held in Orlando, USA, where he ranked first among 300 competitors from 30 different countries around the world. This is just one of his many successes. So far, he has participated in more than 11 regional and national Olympiads, achieving excellent results and constantly showing his potential in this field.
However, the journey of a young talent is not always easy. In the coming months, Loris will be attending several important Olympiads in Albania and abroad, in countries such as Azerbaijan, Romania and other international activities. One of the most important moments will be his participation in the International STEM Olympiad, which will take place from July 2 to 8 in Rome. But participation in these activities often requires financial and institutional support, as the costs can reach thousands of euros.
To contribute to the journey of this young talent, iute has decided to support Loris by covering part of the travel expenses for his participation in the International STEM Olympiad in Rome. For iute, supporting young people who show passion, dedication and talent is a way to invest in the future.
Behind every young talent there is often a teacher who has helped him discover his potential. In the case of Loris, an important role was played by his mathematics teacher, Ms. Flutura Hoxholli, who managed to identify his abilities in the sixth grade. From that time on, she realized that Lorisi had a more advanced level of preparation than his peers and was able to solve exercises and tests of higher grades.
For more than two years, Ms. Hoxholli has dedicated herself to his preparation without any reward, simply out of the desire to see a young talent develop and reach its full potential. According to her, teachers have an important role not only in teaching, but also in identifying and developing talents that can make a difference in the future.
On March 10, 2026, Lorisi, accompanied by his mother and teacher Flutura Hoxholli, visited the headquarters of iute, where he was received by the company’s CEO, Akan Ajdini, in the presence of Stela Shkodrani, a representative of the legal department. During this meeting, iute representatives expressed their appreciation and admiration for his results, encouraging him to continue pursuing his passion and aim for his greatest dream: to become a successful Albanian scientist.
Loris himself often quotes an interesting quote that inspires him: “A man asked Einstein: Has anyone ever lived smarter than you? He replied: Yes, they have, but they have not had the opportunity to discover themselves.” For Loris Qose, origin is not what determines success. What matters most is passion, dedication and the opportunity to develop talent.
It is precisely this passion and dedication that iute has also seen on its journey. By supporting stories like Loris’s, iute believes that young talents deserve the opportunity to excel and further their potential – not only for themselves, but also for the future of the country.
